• Design lessons that are of interest to students to help them develop different skills such as critical thinking and problem solving.
• Provide self-growth feedback so that students can thereby validate their understanding and recognize areas that are still in the process of being understood.
• Collaborate with other teachers, principals, parents, and counselors to support students in reaching their goals.
• Attend professional development meetings in order to increase my knowledge in areas that can help me as a teacher and in the same way to have the necessary skills to be a source of support for my students academically and emotionally.
• Create lesson plans aligned to appropriate mathematical standards and teach students according to their learning needs in areas such as Algebra I, Algebra II, and Mathematics Elective.
• Co-teach with master teacher in Geometry and Spanish. Support students to develop understanding of mathematical concepts and skills.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school principal on academic decisions. Monitor students learning and behavior. Reflect on my teaching practices.
• Assist students in the process of learning study skills necessary to be ready for college.
• Evaluate students’ binders, and their Cornell notes.
• Lead study groups and help students in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Finite Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and Environmental Science.
• Teach students math concepts individually or as a group in areas such as Algebra, Pre- Statistics, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Introduction to Linear Algebra. Record students’ homework progress for online classes.
• Assist students in the preparation for any math assessment.
• Help students to become independent learners.
• Prepare lessons and lead students workshops to support students understanding of concepts in Algebra, and Pre-Statistics.
