The CLA Advising Center/ATLAS is the advising center for the College of Liberal Arts. We have a mixed model of advising in our college with both staff advisor and faculty advisors.

The CSULB Catalog is a great resource to view all degree objectives, university policy, and other campus life information.
View all course schedule information on the Schedule of Classes by term. You can view courses by subject, by college, or by GE requirement. The Schedule of Classes is only updated once per day, so verify seat availability on the Student Center Search
Review important dates and deadlines by term for admission, registration, financial aid, fee payment, and graduation purposes.
Most petitions and forms can be completed on the Student Center, however you can view pertinent information related to each type of form a student may need to submit. More information can be found about the form by clicking on the associated link.
You can view information about how students can navigate their Student Center items including screenshots. This can be helpful when you are emailing a student or taking to them over the phone.
Email vacation requests to Tanisha - you will receive a response in 1-2 business days. Try to request your vacation at least a month in advance (if possible)
Try to avoid peak advising periods
If request is approved, block off entire day with the "Out of Office" on your Outlook calendar.
Email all staff the day prior to alert everyone when you will be out of the office.

If request is approved, indicate on your Outlook calendar your arrival (coming in late) or departure time (leaving early) - make sure you have no scheduled advising appointments or meetings.
Try not to schedule appointments in the middle of the day or during peak periods.
Email all staff the day prior to alert everyone when you will arrive/leave.
Send an email to all staff indicating you are sick and will be out for the day.
For any schedule appointments and meetings, please confirm with the leadership team these can be adjusted or reshceduled for a later date.
